  • Kayla Artis

I love my new GopherWood guitar and I am so honoured to be an artist representative for GopherWood guitars. I have had many guitars over my life but there is something very special about this one. I absolutely love the design of the K930RCE including all of the detailing in the headstock, around the body of the guitar, and the inlay design on the neck. The smoothness of the neck makes me want to keep playing, take good care of it, and I love the warmer tones the guitar projects. I am so blessed to now be an artist representative alongside my husband, Stevon Artis, who is also a GopherWood Artist. Not only are we representing amazing guitars but an amazing team! Thank you so much to our GopherWood family!

  • Adam Agee

Adam AgeeSince 1999, Adam Agee has performed over 2,000 shows in 20+ countries, sold over 500,000 records, had multiple number one singles, and won several awards in the music world; but if you ask him, he would rather talk to you about the immaculate golf course he just played, or the lively game of pick-up basketball he was in today, or his little kiddos and what they’re up to. He loves music, but doesn’t let it define him. “I love to write songs about life and a huge part of my life is my faith. The goal is to create great music with lyrics that encourage and challenge instead of tear down. I want people to like my music, but even if they don’t, my family loves me and Jesus loves me and that’s what’s most important.”He began his musical journey in church, playing and singing in the worship band. He and his friends in the youth group formed the band Stellar Kart and played at youth events all over Arizona and the southwest. The group signed their first major record contract in 2003 and went on to make 7 studio albums and 3 EPs. In 2014, Adam got an offer from the iconic Christian Rock group Audio Adrenaline to front the band. He accepted and joined the band, immediately falling in love with the ministry they had started called the Hands and Feet Project in the country of Haiti. As a result of multiple trips to Haiti and seeing the ministry first hand, he began to speak about his experiences from stage. Now, along with being a touring musician, Agee is also an advocate for child sponsorship and humanitarian organizations. He released his first solo EP “Paper Planes” in 2017 to rave reviews and is currently on tour promoting his new single “He Is With You.” For more info, check out http://www.adamageemusic.com

  • Darren Mulligan

Darren MulliganDarren Mulligan left his native Ireland in 2003 to chase a life built on selfish ambition, temporary pleasure and fleeting fame. God had other plans for him. Now leaving Ireland a second time, the man he is today stands in stark contrast to his sordid and troubled past. Darren’s personal testimony and the music of We Are Messengers are a beacon of hope for all.“We see ourselves as messengers carrying the good news,” says Mulligan. “We’re just carrying His message from our hearts up into our mouths and out into our hands. God’s given us something to say through words and songs and through our lives. We ask the same question every day, ‘What is God saying? What opportunity is God bringing?’”This hasn’t always been Mulligan’s desire. His personal history before meeting Christ is colored by selfishness, depravity and desperation. A self-taught guitarist, Mulligan’s love affair with music began when he received a guitar from his parents for Christmas when he was 13. Although he grew up in Ireland, it was American music that shaped his formative years as he listened to everything from Elvis and Johnny Cash to Guns N’ Roses and Nirvana. Though he came from a respected, hardworking blue-collar family, Mulligan strayed from his upbringing early on. “I became this really wretched, selfish, horrible human being,” he admits. “I just wanted to take from everybody.”When he was 19, a chance encounter on an Irish street introduced Darren to his future wife, Heidi, who was just 17 at the time. The two quickly fell in love and were inseparable for the next few years. However, Darren soon abandoned Heidi in favor of a rock star lifestyle in America, chasing money and fame. As a guitarist for a heavy rock band, Mulligan toured the country while his life spiraled out of control. It was during this time that he received a phone call from Heidi, who told him she had become a Christian. “I hated the thought of her being happy; because she sounded happy, while I was miserable,”Mulligan remembers. Shortly thereafter, he decided to leave the band, move back to Ireland and ask her to marry him. Despite the fact that he had no job, no education and no prospects, Heidi said, “yes,” and unbeknownst to Mulligan, she began praying daily for her future husband’s salvation.Three weeks before their wedding, at a time when he was an avowed athiest, Mulligan had a life-altering experience in church. “I felt so wretched, so dirty. I could feel my skin crawling. God seemed so real that night. He seemed so holy. There was this huge chasm between Him and me. I could feel it—this crushing weight of guilt and conviction—so I gave my life to the Lord that night,” he explains, adding, “It took me a few months of reading the Bible to really understand what I had done and what that meant. I fell in love with God over that period and gradually learned to see myself as He sees me - clean, a son of the king.”Determined to live a different way, Mulligan resolved to never play music again and sold all of his guitars. He took a job managing privately-owned, government-funded homes for children with disabilities and attended church with Heidi regularly. It wasn’t until he randomly filled in for a guitarist at their church that music re-entered his life. Despite the fact that he had never sung publicly before, he began singing as part of a makeshift band that formed for a week-long youth conference. The group, later named The Remission Flow, received such an incredible response, people from all over Ireland and the U.K. began calling with booking requests. For the next three years, Mulligan kept his full-time job and traveled with The Remission Flow on weekends.“Those three years were some of the most beautiful years of my life,” he reflects. “We weren’t making money. We didn’t have to be famous. We were just getting in our little cars and driving to any place God called us. Some nights we’d play for 20 people, some nights we’d play for five or six hundred, and they just kept coming to Jesus.”The Remission Flow released two full-length albums with an independent label in the U.K. One of the band’s songs providentially reached the desk of an A&R executive at Word Entertainment. The label flew Mulligan to Nashville and quickly offered him a record deal.No one was more surprised than the lead vocalist himself. “I was 34 and in my eyes not the best singer in the world, not the best guitar player in the world, not the best at anything. Nashville is full of talent. Why me?” Mulligan wonders aloud. Sure of his calling and determined to follow the leading of God, Mulligan and his wife left their home in Ireland, packed up their belongings and moved their three young children across the globe to Franklin, Tenn. The singer hit the ground running, scheduling daily co-writing sessions. For the next year, he wrote more than 100 songs that were whittled down to 14 for We Are Messengers’ self-titled debut.“We try to write simple songs for a very complicated world,” shares Mulligan, who worked with a list of respected writers and producers for the album, including Josh Bronleewe, Ed Cash and Seth Mosley, among others. “At the very core of what we do is honesty and transparency. We want to be sincere. I want to be vulnerable and write songs that allow people to meet with God right where they are, in their humanity.”His heartfelt authenticity rings true on the scorching cut “I’m On Fire.” “When I fell in love with Jesus, that’s how it felt,” Mulligan says of the cut’s title. “It still feels like that. It still feels like I can’t contain Him in my flesh, that I need to speak about Him. He is a burning fire deep inside my bones.”Opening track and lead radio single “Everything Comes Alive” echoes similar sentiments, celebrating new life in Christ. “If you imagine your life as a day, what does the Gospel look like?” Mulligan asks, adding that he tried to encapsulate 24 hours as a representation of life with Jesus into this three-minute song. “I was so dead in my sin, but when I acknowledged who I was and who God is, I came alive.”“Giants Fall” borrows imagery from the well-known story of David and Goliath, but the idea for the anthem originated with Mulligan reflecting on his own patterns of sin. “I was thinking about my sin and what it is my flesh loves,” he recalls. “Everything’s rooted in pride. Things like lust and anger—those are giants in my life. I think we all have those things that want to keep us from God, and we try to fight them in our own strength, but if you look at David, this little man who went out and faced Goliath, he didn’t win on his own strength. He won because he had faith to believe that God was with him.”Last minute add “I Look Up” was written just five days before the record was to be mixed and mastered with Mulligan painting word pictures of life lived in the valley, which forces us to lift our eyes to the One who gave Himself for us. Raw closing cut “I Don’t Have The Answers” finds Mulligan living out the group’s mission through song. “We can’t fix people, but what we can do is hold people’s hands and stay with them in their pain and doubt,” he contends. “What did Christ do? Christ came and spent time with the sick, the poor and the least in society. ”Essentially, this is the action We Are Messengers hopes to mimic through the ministry of their band. “Christ came to serve and showed us how to serve, and we want to do that,” Mulligan says. “We want to tell people about the goodness of God. Music allows us to have that conversation. We want to love people the way He loves us. We want to wash people’s feet. ”We Are Messengers may have left their homeland for the sake of a greater call, but it’s a sacrifice they consider well worth the hefty price. “We’ve been rescued so that we could give ourselves away,”Mulligan maintains. “The Bible says, ‘Lose your life and you’ll find it’; and we’re determined to keep giving ourselves away until we die, so that when it comes to the end of the race, we’re spent, we’re done.”

  • Travis Greene

Travis GreeneGrowing up with a mother who was a minister and choir director, Travis Greene says that gospel music “was like oxygen in our house, always part of my life,” and no artist inspired him and strengthened his passion for God more than 12-time Grammy winning legend Kirk Franklin. Now an inspirational trailblazer in his own right, Greene’s masterful fusion of music and ministry these past few years prompted Franklin to anoint him as one of the artists who are the “future of gospel music.” Continuing on his global mission to “bring the cool back to the worship experience, and get people, especially the unchurched, excited,” the two time Grammy nominee debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart with his latest album Crossover: Live From Music City. Its lead single “You Waited” hit the Top 5 on the Hot Gospel Songs chart.Much like Franklin in his early heyday, Greene’s meteoric rise has been chronicled everywhere from Billboard, Rolling Stone, TMZ and the New York Times to prominent magazines like Rolling Out, JET, Ebony, ESSENCE and Vibe. At the 2017 Stellar Gospel Music Awards, he won in seven key categories, including “Song of the Year” (“Made A Way,” which also hit #1 on the Hot Gospel Songs chart), “Male Vocalist of the Year,” “CD of the Year (The Hill, which also reached #1 on the Top Gospel Albums chart),” “Contemporary Male Vocalist of the Year,” “Contemporary CD of the Year,” “Recorded Music Packaging of the Year” and “Praise and Worship CD of the Year.” All told, he has been nominated for 13 Stellar Awards, 3 Dove Awards, 2 Billboard Music Award and a Soul Train Award. In 2016, Billboard named him “Gospel Airplay Artist of the Year.”In 2016, the singer and his wife, Dr. Jackie Greene, launched Forward City Church in Columbia, South Carolina, which he describes as “a church for the unchurched and over-churched.” While pastoring the quickly growing congregation at home and extending scholarships and mission work to thousands of people in Africa, Greene also embarked on a world tour. He brought his cultural boundary crossing music to many African countries, including Nigeria and Ghana; the Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago, and Jamaica; Dubai; and to London, Montreal and Toronto. “I’ve been called to minister in many different ways,” Greene says, “but I see my gospel-centered activities not as finding a balance but as more of a rhythm, fully aware of what God has called me to do.”With 13 of its tracks recorded in 2017 at Skyville Live in Nashville, Tennessee, Crossover: Live From Music City follows in the live recording tradition of The Hill, which also featured all original material. The new collection includes two studio tracks, “Love Will Always Win” (co-written and produced by Travis with Jason Ingram and Paul Mayberry) and “Finally Found” (co-produced with Bernie Herms). “The album title comes from the Biblical notion of being able to cross over and leave what was and embrace what is waiting for you, as the Ancient Israelites did after they were freed from bondage,” Greene says.“That thread is interwoven into every song, reflecting on what crossing over looks like at different times. Some seasons, we have to be still and wait on God, but we also celebrate the fact that God waits on us as well. I want people to be encouraged in the midst of bondage and darkness, to know that the light, and your time to cross over out of darkness, is coming. I like to bring a blend of energy and thoughtfulness to my songs, and my goal with both the lyrics and rhythms and instrumentation is to make the music inviting. I want my music to allow people to let down their guard and be vulnerable enough to hear the voice of God.”While most artists create live albums of concerts featuring their best loved hits, Greene – who launched his recording career with the independent release The More in 2007 – prefers the synergy that comes from sharing fresh material with eager audiences. Like its predecessor, Crossover: Live from Music City is an opportunity for longtime and new fans alike to partake in an experience that brilliantly captures the artist’s passion, excitement and charisma onstage -- and his ability to reach hearts with the gospel through music.“For me, it’s all about the shared energy, the adrenaline and connecting with the audience,” Greene says. “Performing live is a more honest demonstration of what I can offer people musically. In the studio, I can mimic what I do live, but there’s nothing like the way an excited audience can help me take my gifts to another level. Unlike when you do conventional recording, you instantly see the impact the music makes. When I’m able to see those tears streaming, hands lifted high and people jumping around with joy, I know that God’s message is getting across through me.”Greene’s fascinating life story begins with miracles that show grace in his life even before he began pursuing his musical gifts. He was originally still-born but was resuscitated, and at the age of four, while living in Germany where his father was based in the military, he was brought back to life after a four-story fall from a building. Though his father passed away when Greene was only five, he grew up a “military brat” who developed a unique appreciation for and understanding about many world cultures all of which laid the foundation for his ministry today. Though he didn’t perform for people until participated in his mother’s prison ministry in their adopted home state of Georgia when he was 18, Greene’s passion for music was an important part of his early life. “It was God’s way of giving me an escape from tragedy and crisis,” he says. “I turned to the keyboard instead of to drugs and life on the streets. Any instrument I put my hands on, I as able to play.”Though certainly less dramatic than the early-life miracles, Greene attributes his pursuit of his musical career to a moment of divine intervention. It came in the form of his piano instructor at Georgia Southern University, where he majored in business and minored in music. Just before graduation, she asked him his plans. He said he was going to get an MBA and then move to New York and work a corporate job. She asked him what he was passionate about. When he said, “music and ministry,” she told him he needed to pursue those. Greene says he was a pretty good piano player, but “her discipline forced me to crawl and not run, not jam as much and play more melodically and fluidly.” While attending Georgia Southern, he played keys at a local church and one day the pastor heard him singing and told him he should lead worship. These moments of encouragement led Greene to develop his raw talent further and set his sights on making gospel music for a living. He bought a laptop and got some recording equipment and software, believing he was following God’s plan for his life. He struggled for years, having to move out of a foreclosed house he was living in, subsisting on grits and Wendy’s, and had a car that broke down every other week. His dedication to music meant he only worked part time, usually at churches where he attended. He went through the ups and downs of having limited success and resources, and even when he achieved Billboard chart success and airplay with his 2010 album Stretching Out, he was barely making enough to survive.“This is an example of why I sing about our patience with God and His patience with us,” Greene says. “Things happen when they are supposed to and when we are ready. The struggle forces you to be persistent and learn a lot of necessary lessons. I literally lost everything in pursuit of the dream God placed on my heart. I believed I heard his voice during those seasons of what I call ‘radical faith.’ The interesting thing was that even when I was in lack and didn’t know where my next meal or rent payment was coming from, I still felt fulfilled because I was in His will. I was driven and knew without a doubt what God was going to do. Peace was part of the journey.“At the end of the day,” he adds, “I simply want music to be my vehicle to inspire people and make them feel right about choosing God. I want to use these opportunities to encourage people, and maybe in the process help redefine the way Christianity looks in our contemporary culture and reveal God in a different way. I appreciate the ability to make an impact and help people change their perspective. Encouragement from legends like Kirk Franklin is a huge honor, and makes me want to be more diligent and transparent in what I am called to do. Besides raising my two young boys go grow up with a godly example, I’m really excited to raise up the next wave of worshipers and those called to share the love of God through music. I want to be part of helping carry the torch into the future.”

  • Todd Dulaney

Todd DulaneyDynamic worship leader, husband, father, and prolific songwriter are all terms that embody who Todd Dulaney is. Dulaney has delivered some of the biggest worship anthems of the past three years with his remake of the Planet Shakers’ CCM hit, “The Anthem,” and “Victory Belongs To Jesus,” which Dulaney penned, establishing a track record of success early on his musical journey. His new album, appropriately titled Your Great Name (eOne Entertainment), streets on January 19, 2018.Dulaney is consistent in his desire to point people to Jesus through his music and life. Throughout the past few years he has been recognized for his dedication and musical prowess among his peers. A GRAMMY®, Stellar, and Dove Award nominated artist, Dulaney stands out from other emerging artists in the genre, and is revered as one of the influencers of the next generation of Gospel music. On the heels of a groundbreaking start to his music career, Your Great Name will prove to be a game changing album for Dulaney when it releases at the top of 2018. His emphasis on vertical worship, along with his drive to strengthen believers’ personal relationship with God, have proven to be exactly what the genre needed. “I wanted to create an experience that showcased a bigger sound, encouraged corporate worship, and would cross cultures,” says Dulaney. “I believe we achieved that with this body of work.”The common thread of Dulaney’s music is to invigorate listeners to worship, make bold confessions of their faith, and incorporate musical elements that reflect an array of cultures. The lead single and title track is already being incorporated into worship services across the country. Dulaney has once again penned an anthemic and declarative song that is resonating in the hearts of believers everywhere. “This song drives home the message that Jesus is the answer,” states Delaney. “It’s also a song that delivers tempo, powerful and proclaiming lyrics, and a sound that bridges the cultural gap. I’m honored that congregations across the nation and internationally have gravitated to it so early.”“Stand Forever” is another standout cut on the forthcoming album. Dulaney derived inspiration for the song from the beloved passage of scripture that states, “Heaven and Earth shall pass away, but my words will never pass away.” With a message that God’s Word stands forever, it encourages listeners to be bold, to be resolute in their belief, and to be committed to carrying this message to others. Triumphantly, the song declares, “We won’t stop calling Your name. We won’t quit seeking Your face. We want You!”Rising worship vocalist, Shana Wilson, has a featured duet on “King of Glory.” Dulaney aims to create moments that bring listeners more closely into their experience with God and “King of Glory” is a simple song by design that does just that. Its catchy refrains and resounding drums highlights the strength of the musicality of the song. It’s energy drives home the message of being free in God’s presence to worship, which is also a core element of Todd Dulaney’s ministry.“Fall in Love Again,” a fun, mid-tempo track, highlights other facets of Dulaney’s sound with its catchy musical swiftness, fusing Gospel, Rock, Pop, and CCM sounds. The acoustic sounds coupled with the electric guitar, and a funky vocal progression and regression, make it a must hear song on the album.Todd Dulaney is poised to take this great body of work to as many as will hear it. His desire is to foster freedom in worship by creating atmospheres that inhabit God’s presence. Dulaney is resolute in his commitment and call to provide quality music that embraces multiculturalism and unity. Dulaney says, “My music is a collection of my life experiences. My career in sports and being around people from all over the world really shaped how I wanted to present what I write and record. I wasn’t groomed in church culture, so my perspective is different. I want all people to be drawn to my music. My hope is that I will be successful at pointing people to Jesus, no matter what. That is what I want my legacy to be.”
